State Street is seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our Investment Book of Records (IBOR) Development Team. The ideal candidate will have strong COBOL development experience and collaborate with senior developers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to support critical business applications.
The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining IBOR applications, supporting COBOL-based systems, and contributing to deployment, documentation, and Agile processes.
Qualifications
- Hands-on COBOL development experience.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain in-house IBOR applications.
- Support and enhance existing COBOL-based applications and business functionality.
- Participate in application analysis, coding, testing, and implementation activities.
- Work closely with senior developers and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues.
- Perform code reviews and adhere to established development standards and best practices.
- Participate in system integration, testing, and deployment activities.
- Contribute to application performance improvements and operational stability initiatives.
- Support Agile development processes and project delivery activities.
- Prepare technical documentation and maintain development artifacts.
