Job summary

GlassHouse Systems is seeking an IBM Storage Protect Specialist to manage and optimize backup and IBM Power environments across multiple client systems. You will handle IBM Storage Protect / Spectrum Protect / TSM, AIX on IBM Power, and VMware, ensuring data protection and system availability.

Your responsibilities include incident resolution, DR testing, and working within SLAs, with on-call rotation and post‑hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years administering IBM Storage Protect / Spectrum Protect / Tivoli Storage Manager in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years administering AIX on IBM Power Systems.
• Experience with SLAs and ITSM ticketing (ServiceNow).

Responsibilities

• Design, administer and maintain IBM Storage Protect / Spectrum Protect / TSM servers, Oracle RMAN, Microsoft SQL Server and VMware.
• Monitor backups, resolve drive issues, and validate restore procedures.
• Lead disaster recovery testing and documentation of recovery steps.
• Perform capacity planning for backup storage growth and advise clients on changes.
