Job summary

Henricksen, located in Oak Brook, IL, seeks an experienced IBM i Programmer to design, develop, implement, and continuously improve business-critical applications on the IBM i platform. Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on development on IBM i, AS/400, iSeries, or Power Systems.
• Strong experience with RPG IV, ILE RPG, Free-Form RPG, RPGLE/SQLRPGLE, CL/CLLE, and legacy fixed-format RPG.
• Strong SQL skills with embedded SQL, joins, views, stored procedures, and Db2 for i.
• Experience designing, modifying, troubleshooting, and supporting batch, interactive, and reporting processes.
• Experience integrating IBM i with external systems via APIs, web services, JSON or XML.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain IBM i applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify process improvements and technology enablement.
• Lead and manage application development projects from initiation to implementation.
• Identify modernization opportunities and implement enhancements for reliability and performance.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements, and SDLC processes.
