SFE in Dallas, TX seeks an experienced AS/400 Engineer to design, develop, and support IBM i/AS400 ERP/WMS applications. You will work with RPG, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, and CL to maintain production systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.

The role requires 5+ years in IBM i development, strong DB2/SQL skills, and experience with ERP/WMS environments. Onsite duties include production support, deployments, and collaboration with business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience programming on IBM i/AS400.
• Proficient with RPG, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE and CL.
• Knowledge of relational database, including DB2/SQL.
• Expertise with ILE Concepts, service programs, commitment control, journaling.
• Experience with ERP applications and WMS is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Develop, maintain, and support IBM i/AS400 applications using RPG, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE and CL.
• Maintain and enhance ERP and Warehouse Management System (WMS) applications.
• Develop, execute, and optimize DB2/SQL queries to support functionality and reporting.
• Apply ILE concepts, service programs, commitment control, journaling and other IBM i practices.
• Perform debugging, monitor production apps, and ensure system stability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, and technical leads to gather requirements and manage SDLC tasks.
• Coordinate code promotions and deployments across development, QA, and production environments.
