Position Type: Consulting – Hourly (Flexible engagement from part-time advisory to full-time project-based delivery)

Overview: SQA Group is proactively seeking experienced consultants with deep expertise in IBM DB2 and IBM InfoSphere CDC (Change Data Capture). This role will support our growing client engagements involving DB2 architecture, infrastructure optimization, deployment strategy, development support, and comprehensive system health checks.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform architecture assessments, recommendations, and design improvements for DB2 (including LUW) environments.
Lead or support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of IBM InfoSphere CDC solutions.
Conduct database health checks, performance tuning, and optimization of DB2 environments.
Advise and implement best practices for infrastructure management, including upgrades, patching, disaster recovery, and high availability.
Develop and review database scripts, stored procedures, and ETL processes.
Provide strategic advisory to clients on leveraging DB2 and CDC technologies for maximum business impact.

Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated expertise in IBM DB2 architecture, deployment, and infrastructure management.
Proven hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere CDC deployment, configuration, and operational optimization.
Strong background in DB2 performance tuning, health check methodologies, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in scripting and automation within DB2 environments.
Experience designing and implementing database solutions aligned to enterprise standards.
Excellent client-facing communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with complementary IBM solutions, including DataStage, Watson Knowledge Catalog, and MDM.
Experience in modern data engineering and integration tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow, Informatica).
Familiarity with cloud integration or hybrid cloud deployments involving IBM databases.
Understanding of broader data governance, compliance, and security frameworks.
