AACI is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor in San Jose, CA to supervise IBH providers, maintain a small clinical caseload, and deliver direct counseling services. The role requires active CA licensure and experience in clinical supervision within a diverse community setting.

Job DetailsJob Location: 2400 Moorpark Avenue, Suite 300 - San Jose, CA 95128Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $102,000.00 SalaryUnder the supervision of the Director of Health Services, the Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing individual and group clinical supervision and consultation to Integrated Behavioral Health providers. The Clinical Supervisor also provides behavioral health services maintaining a small caseload, performing a variety of direct clinical, diagnostic, treatment, and outreach services.

Duties and responsibilities

• Review and approve IBH Provider clinical documentation to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with established standards.
• Provide clinical supervision and support to clinicians through timely feedback, performance evaluations, and guidance.
• Provide culturally sensitive, client-centered individual, group, and family counseling and rehabilitation services.
• Responsible for appropriate case assignment based on admissions/medical necessity criteria.
• Facilitate referrals to community resources and refer to case management services.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify patients' needs and formulate treatment plans.
• Document and maintain clinical records per appropriate standards and regulations.
• Participate in clinical supervisions, team meetings, and trainings.
• Collaborate with the primary care team to integrate behavioral health into the overall patient care plan. Participate in case conferences and care coordination with other AACI programs.
• Complete and maintain LPS 5150 Authorization certification and provide officer of the day support.
• Offer immediate support and crisis intervention for patients experiencing acute behavioral health issues.
• Complete other related duties and projects as assigned.

QualificationsEducation & Experience:

• Current Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Psychologist in the state of California.
• Two years or more post licensure experience.
• Two years or more of direct clinical experience.
• Supervision experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Capability to perform the duties and responsibilities described above.
• Knowledge of DSM-V criteria for diagnosing behavioral health illnesses.
• Cultural Awareness, knowledge of cultural issues, community resources, and family dynamics.
• Ability to identify documentation deficiencies and provide clear corrective guidance.
• High attention to detail while maintaining a broader understanding of clinical quality and patient outcomes.
• Understanding of the legal and ethical requirements set by the board of licensure.
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws in California.
• Knowledge of community and county resources to facilitate referrals and coordination with appropriate agencies.
• Ability to exercise independent clinical judgment within the scope of program responsibilities.
• Ability to implement evidence-based techniques to address client’s symptomatology and functional impairments.
• Understanding of boundaries to maintain clear and consistent boundaries with clients and their families
• Proficient writing skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Verbal and written fluency in English required; Bilingual skills in a second language (particularly Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese) desired but not required.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Working conditions

Work is conducted in an office environment inside a standard clinic setting. Basic safety precautions and use of protective clothing or gear may be required. Occasional evenings and weekend work is required.

Working with clients who are seriously mentally ill, or high risk may increase exposure to secondary trauma.
