Job summary

Inn at Bay Harbor in Michigan is seeking a Front Desk Leader to coordinate front desk operations, resolve guest issues, and uphold brand standards.

You will guide a team to deliver exceptional service, handle reservations, check-in/out, and maintain a welcoming lobby while aligning with resort policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year at a front desk or guest service experience.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willing to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous point of sale software experience, and familiarity with Microsoft Office required.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
• Check guests in and out efficiently and in a friendly manner.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, room rates, amenities, and selling strategies.
• Take reservation requests efficiently.
• Answer Front Desk Phone in accordance with standards of proper telephone etiquette.
• Block rooms and handles special requests.
• Handle safe deposits by guests per established procedures.
• Keep lobby and desk area clean and presentable.
• Have a thorough knowledge of emergency and security procedures
• Assist in training of new hires and current associates on a regular basis
• Ensure front desk is adequately staffed at all times which may require covering call offs

As a leader at the Front Desk, you are responsible for coordinating front office activities of the resort and resolving any problems that arise from guest complaints including reservation and room assignments.
