Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. seeks a Growth and Improvement minded Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Immunology to engage in scientific exchange with SLs and support company priorities.

Qualifications

• Proven competence and three years of relevant Immunology (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) experience beyond that obtained in the terminal degree program.
• Principled verbal and written communications.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with key external stakeholders.
• Dedication to scientific excellence with a strong focus on scientific education and dialogue.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills.

Responsibilities

• Scientific Exchange: Develops professional relationships with national and regional SLs and ensures access to approved medical information.
• Research: Initiates discussions with SLs/investigators to align with research strategies and assess scientific merit.
• Scientific Congress Support: Engage in scientific congresses and data exchange.
• Scientific Insights: Gather feedback and information to understand scientific needs and priorities.
• Inclusive Mindset and Behavior: Lead by example and promote inclusion in the workforce.
