Job summary

Williamson-County-and-Cities-Health-District is seeking an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) for the WIC division in Cedar Park, TX. This part-time role involves providing advanced lactation support, counseling, and education to clients with breastfeeding challenges beyond routine scope.

The IBCLC may visit clients at home or hospital and may work after regular clinic hours. The role includes training WIC staff, contributing to program goals, and supporting breastfeeding

Qualifications

• IBCLC certification is required.
• 2+ years of clinic, hospital and/or public health experience is required.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain is required.
• Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately completes TXIN documentation for lactation counseling notes and pump issuance/retrieval.
• Assists with clinic appointment scheduling for IBCLC (High Risk) and Prenatal classes.
• Reconciles documentation and supports quality improvement in WIC services.
• Teaches breastfeeding classes and leads support groups for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.
• Provides lactation evaluation and consultations via telephone, virtual, clinic, or home visits.
