Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Lactation Nurse Specialist in Charlotte, NC. The role supports breastfeeding families, assesses needs, provides in-hospital visits and post-discharge follow-up, and may supervise outpatient lactation services and pump rentals.

Requires a Registered Nurse license and an IBCLC certification to be obtained within 1 year, with at least 2 years in labor and delivery. Strong communication and EMR skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• IBCLC certification to be obtained within 1 year.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Proficient computer skills and EMR experience.

Responsabilités

• Assesses patient's needs, diagnoses lactation problems, plans and implements intervention, and evaluates outcomes.
• Visits breastfeeding mothers while hospitalized and/or follows up by phone to provide lactation support.
• Provide outpatient lactation care and follow-up for breastfeeding families.
• Develops and manages outpatient lactation services and/or pump rental/retail support as needed.
• Collaborates with staff to promote lactation education and leadership.
