Luminis Health, Inc. is seeking a lactation clinician to conduct bedside lactation rounds and consult with mothers facing breastfeeding challenges. The role requires RN licensure (Maryland) or medical degree, plus IBCLC certification.

You will assess families, develop individualized plans, and educate staff. The position involves coordinating lactation services for in-patient and out-patient care, managing pump rentals and retail sales, and participating in quality and financial oversight.

Qualifikationen

• Adherence to credentialing requirements of AAMC as stated in the nursing bylaws.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse by Maryland Board of Nursing or current graduate of Medical School.

Aufgaben

• Conducts bedside lactation rounds daily and consults with mothers having breastfeeding problems.
• Assesss patients/families to identify learning needs following standards.
• Develops individualized breastfeeding plans of care for each mother-baby pair.
• Evaluates effectiveness of the breastfeeding plan and revises as needed.
• Participates in lactation services and maternal-child health service decision-making.
• Oversees breast pump rentals and retail sales within lactation services.
• Plans and conducts staff training and orientation on lactation care.
• Delivers lactation services to in-patient and out-patient clients.
• Maintains cooperative relationships with health team members to support breastfeeding.
• Monitors program quality and oversees financial performance of lactation services.
