Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking an International Baccalaureate Program Coordinator to support the Principal in implementing and monitoring the IB program. The role emphasizes instructional leadership, program coordination, and data-driven decision making within the district.

The coordinator will collaborate with school and central office staff to ensure curriculum alignment, monitor outcomes, and provide staff development throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Advanced Professional Certificate preferred.
• Administration I certification preferred.
• Five years of successful teaching experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist the principal in defining and communicating the IB mission for the school.
• Provide instructional leadership with the principal for IB curriculum implementation.
• Coordinate the IB program with school and central office staff.
• Supervise the IB program and other school programs.
• Prepare curriculum documents, materials, and program evaluation for IB.
• Monitor student achievement and participation data.
• Use data to improve the program and design interventions.
• Support classroom teachers in curriculum, instruction, and management.
• Offer staff development throughout the year and summer.
• Counsel students and advise IB to Diploma Program placement.
• Plan and coordinate summer programs and events for students.
• Engage in professional activities for leadership development.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and community.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
