Job summary

Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 is seeking a Middle Years Program (MYP) Coach to lead curricular, instructional, and professional learning for an IB middle school.

The role centers on implementing the MYP framework and coordinating planning with administration. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree, a valid Illinois teaching certificate, and at least three years of teaching experience, with preference for MYP leadership or teaching in IB environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
• Valid Illinois teacher certification with required endorsements for subject and level
• Minimum of three years teaching experience
• Preference for candidates with MYP leadership or teaching experience

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, implementation and monitoring of IB/MYP program development
• Serve as the main liaison with IB for authorization, evaluation and updates
• Document curriculum and ensure access to program resources and frameworks
• Deliver and support staff PD related to IB MYP standards and practices
• Collaborate with administration, parents and community on program effectiveness
• Participate as a member of the school leadership team
