DCI - District of Columbia International School in Washington, DC is hiring a full-time English Language Learners teacher. This role provides IB English Language Learners education to middle and high school students, with instructional planning and collaboration across classrooms.

The position emphasizes WIDA assessments, data-driven differentiation, and alignment with the SIOP model and IB framework. Strong communication, technology proficiency, and a successful background check are required;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Master's Degree in secondary education or related area preferred.
• Experience teaching EL or IB-related content strongly preferred.
• Ability to use multiple technology platforms and G-Suite tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide rigorous EL instruction following SIOP and IB approaches.
• Conduct WIDA assessments and report progress using EL data.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and service providers.
• Participate in child study meetings and provide case management.
• Advise students and lead advisory activities within IB framework.
• Utilize 1:1 Chromebooks effectively to support instruction.
