Position Overview: DCI is hiring a full-time French Language Coordinator/Teacher. The role involves managing curriculum development, coordinating professional development, coaching teachers, and teaching one to two courses. The position requires collaboration with school leaders, teachers, students, and families to promote language learning and support school-wide language initiatives.

Salary Range: $63,113 - $116,323 (based on education and experience)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Fluency in French and teaching experience in language acquisition
• Experience as a coach, teacher leader, or supervisor of teachers
• Master’s degree in world language or curriculum development preferred
• Experience developing language proficiency curricula
• Experience in immersion or dual language instruction
• Experience working with diverse families
• Interest or experience with language acquisition and IB Middle Years Program
• Commitment to access and achievement for learners with special needs
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Key Skills:

• Lead curriculum development aligned with IB principles
• Develop professional development plans and coach teachers
• Teach 1-2 classes to model instruction
