Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an Authentication Platform Engineering Manager to lead the team responsible for core identity services powering our production infrastructure, including Kerberos, TOTP, and FIDO2. This role sits in the Production IAM stack, ensuring secure, authenticated access across our global fleet.

You will guide strategy and execution for the Authentication Platform, coaching engineers in AI-augmented design and ensuring high availability, security, and compliance of identity services

Qualifications

• 13+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3-5 years leading teams in infrastructure-centric environments.
• Expertise in Kerberos and identity protocols: SAML, OIDC, LDAP.
• Experience with public cloud (AWS/GCP) or hybrid environments.
• Proficient in Java, Go, or C#, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategy and execution for the Authentication Platform, ensuring horizontal scaling across environments.
• Provide technical leadership across a diverse protocol stack from Kerberos to WebAuthn/FIDO2 and TOTP.
• Ensure high availability of foundational services; partner on Zero Trust implementations.
• Coach engineers to design beyond code and grow in AI-augmented environments.
• Integrate AI tools into daily development and oversee AI output reviews; uphold architectural integrity.
