Job summary

This is the company in San Francisco seeks an Engineering Manager for Identity and Access Management. You will lead a team responsible for authentication and authorization across the platform, ensuring reliability and secure access for users and services.

You will code hands-on, mentor engineers, collaborate with product and other teams, and drive scalable, high‑quality solutions in a fast‑moving fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams delivering scalable solutions.
• Strong foundation in software engineering with deep system design skills and hands-on experience with Java, Postgres and Redis.
• Reliability and scalability are priorities, with experience in critical, high-load distributed systems.
• Hands-on and collaborative leadership, fostering a supportive and learning-driven environment.
• Set a high bar for quality, maintainable code and scalable solutions.
• Strong mentorship and coaching to grow the team while maintaining performance and accountability.
• Growth mindset with ongoing learning and adoption of industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to define and deliver the next version of Authentication and Authorization.
• Ensure reliability, performance and scalability of authentication/authorization as core business flows.
• Lead hands-on by coding, participating in discussions, code reviews, and system design.
