Aon is seeking an IAM Engineer- Authentication to design, implement, and support authentication across our identity environment. You will partner with security and business teams to deploy SSO and MFA, integrating Okta and Microsoft Entra, and ensuring secure, reliable access for colleagues and clients.

You will analyze logs, document architectures, and improve IAM controls while balancing security with user experience. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of IAM experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing and implementing IAM solutions.
• Experience with SSO and MFA for workforce and/or external users.
• Experience with Okta or Microsoft Entra.
• Knowledge of SAML, OAuth/OIDC, SCIM, LDAP, RADIUS, Kerberos.
• Experience analyzing IAM logs and troubleshooting identity issues.
• REST APIs and JSON experience.
• Familiarity with GDPR, SOX, ISO 27001, SOC 2.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support IAM authentication solutions with a focus on SSO and MFA.
• Collaborate with technology, security, and business stakeholders to define IAM patterns and guide implementation.
• Configure and maintain authentication platforms such as Okta and Microsoft Entra, including policies and integrations.
• Ensure security and reliability through monitoring, maintenance, and patching.
• Develop identity-platform capabilities using REST APIs and JSON.
• Analyze authentication/authorization logs to diagnose issues and root causes.
• Create IAM documentation, diagrams, and process flows for operations.
