Job summary

Aon plc is seeking an IAM Engineer- Authentication to design, implement and support authentication capabilities across the identity environment. You will partner with technology and business stakeholders to balance security, reliability and user experience.

Responsibilities include configuring Okta and Microsoft Entra, refining SSO/MFA policies, and developing identity-platform capabilities via REST APIs and JSON. Strong analytics and documentation skills are required.

Qualifications

• Professional experience designing, implementing, or supporting IAM solutions.
• Experience implementing and integrating SSO and MFA technologies (Okta or Entra).
• Knowledge of IAM standards and protocols (SAML, OAuth/OIDC, SCIM, LDAP, RADIUS, Kerberos).
• Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot identity issues.
• Experience with REST APIs and JSON.
• Familiarity with GDPR, SOX, ISO 27001, SOC 2.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• 3+ years designing and implementing IAM solutions, including SSO/MFA.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, test, and support IAM authentication solutions with SSO/MFA.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand authentication needs and guide implementation.
• Configure and maintain Okta and Microsoft Entra policies and integrations.
• Ensure IAM platforms are secure, reliable, and well-supported.
• Design and refine SSO/MFA policies and controls for security and UX.
• Develop identity-platform capabilities using REST APIs and JSON.
• Analyze logs to diagnose issues and identify root causes.
• Create IAM documentation, architecture diagrams, and process flows.
• Identify opportunities to improve authentication controls and platform capabilities.
