Job summary

Tempus in Chicago seeks an IAM Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure authentication and authorization across our real-world evidence platforms. You will work with OKTA and workflows, mitigate IAM risks, and collaborate with IT and business units to align security with operations.

You’ll apply SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, LDAP, REST, and SCIM, using Terraform and GitHub to deploy secure infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 3 years of IT security experience with IAM focus.
• 2+ years IAM engineering experience and proficient with OKTA/Workflows.
• Experience implementing authentication/authorization across diverse domains.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Hands-on Terraform and GitHub usage for deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain IAM solutions across multiple domains.
• Assess and mitigate IAM-related security risks proactively.
• Promote IAM best practices with IT and business units.
• Apply SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, LDAP, REST, and SCIM controls.
