Job summary

Uber seeks an Application Developer II (IAM Operations Engineer) to own and scale enterprise IAM workflows and integrations. You will apply strong coding and design principles to support identity governance, authentication, and access controls across on‑prem and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of IAM operations experience with ownership of enterprise production systems and integrations.
• Proficiency in Python or PowerShell for IAM automation and API integrations.
• Hands-on experience with IAM protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, LDAP) and major platforms (Okta, SailPoint, Entra ID).
• Strong system design, planning, and troubleshooting across multi‑platform environments.
• Experience with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA, GDPR, SOX) and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Identity Lifecycle Management: provisioning, de-provisioning, and access workflows across enterprise systems.
• Security & Access Controls: implement RBAC, least privilege, JIT, SSO, MFA, and PAM.
• Incident Resolution: investigate IAM security incidents and drive platform improvements.
• Compliance & Governance: audits, control validations, and access reviews for SOX/GDPR/HIPAA.
• Platform Administration: configure AD, Okta, SailPoint, Entra ID, Duo, CyberArk, AWS, and GCP.
• Automation & Integration: develop Python/PowerShell automation and API integrations.
• Architecture & Planning: translate requirements into practical designs and roadmaps.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with Engineering, Security, IT, and Compliance teams.
• AI & Analytics Integration: use AI to optimize workflows, metrics, and security trends.
