Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an experienced Lead IAM Engineer to own the strategic direction of identity and access management. The role focuses on Okta-centered architecture, automation, and governance across employees, contractors, and partners, with a strong emphasis on secure, scalable identity services.

You will partner with IS, Security, Engineering, and People Systems to modernize onboarding, offboarding, and access provisioning while expanding automation and reducing manual

Qualifications

• Hands-on Okta expertise in a large enterprise environment with SSO, lifecycle, MFA, and governance.
• Deep knowledge of SAML, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SCIM, federation, provisioning, and authorization.
• Experience automating onboarding, changes, and offboarding using Workday as the authoritative source.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python or PowerShell.
• Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional IAM initiatives without direct people management.
• Experience with Terraform/IaC and integrating identity platforms with enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the IAM roadmap and architecture with Okta at the core.
• Design and improve Okta capabilities across SSO, lifecycle automation, and governance.
• Develop onboarding, role-change, and offboarding processes.
• Build integrations between Okta and Workday, Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Atlassian.
• Drive automation using Okta Workflows, APIs, scripting, and Terraform.
• Establish repeatable engineering standards for identity changes.
• Mentor engineers and expand IAM expertise.
• Lead security and zero-trust initiatives with authentication and federation.
• Support SOX controls, audit evidence, and remediation.
