Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 1 year of IACUC or related animal welfare experience, including knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing the use of animals in research.
• Certified Professional IACUC Administrator (CPIA) eligible within 4 years of taking the position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the IACUC and review/protocol approvals to ensure compliance.
• Guide investigators on documents needed for protocol submissions based on regulations.
• Prepare reports and agendas for IACUC/Chair meetings and maintain regulatory records.
• Provide training and guidance to Committee members, faculty, staff and students.
