Job summary

INEOS Aromatics in Wando, South Carolina is seeking an Instrument and Electrical Maintenance Technician to disassemble, repair, calibrate, and troubleshoot process control instrumentation, valves, analyzers, and related electrical equipment to keep the plant safe and reliable.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED (or an Associate degree) plus about 5 years of industrial I&E repair experience (or 4 years military I&E).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years' repair experience in I&E or 4 years military I&E or an related Associate degree.
• Ability to read and follow detailed operating, maintenance and safety procedures.
• Willingness to be on call including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to relocate or commute to INEOS Cooper River Plant.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot PLCs.
• Calibrate process control instrumentation and analyzers.
• Remove, troubleshoot, repair and install automated process control valves.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with operations personnel.
• Provide 24-hour on-call support during off hours.
• Assist in equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Complete paperwork and computer entries related to the job.
