Job summary

INEOS Aromatics is seeking an Instrument and Electrical Maintenance Technician in Wando, South Carolina. The role involves disassembling, repairing, calibrating, and troubleshooting process control instrumentation, valves and analyzers, and maintaining electrical distribution systems to support safe, reliable operations.

The position requires 5 years of I&E repair experience (or 4 years military I&E or an associate degree), strong PLC skills, and willingness to on-call and relocate to the Cooper

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of industrial/mfg repair in I&E, or 4 years military I&E, or an associates degree.
• Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.
• Pass pre-employment tests including mechanical aptitude, reading and mathematics.
• Ability to read and follow detailed operating, maintenance and safety procedures.
• Willingness to be on call including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to relocate or commute to INEOS Cooper River Plant without company assistance.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot PLCs.
• Calibrate process control instrumentation and analyzers.
• Remove, troubleshoot, repair and install automated process control valves.
• Maintain process equipment per procedures and processes.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with operations personnel and assist in troubleshooting.
• Provide 24-hour support on-call during off hours.
• Support unit engineering functions with I&E expertise.
• Assist in root cause failure analysis.
• Complete work documentation and data entry.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities.
