Job summary

Hilcorp Energy Company in Bloomfield, NM is seeking an experienced I&E Technician to support projects, installation and maintenance of facility instrumentation and electrical components, ensuring a safe, reliable operating environment.

The role requires five years of plant electrical/instrumentation maintenance experience, the ability to collaborate with management and production staff, train others, and respond to power outages. A degree in Instrumentation or Process Control is required.

Qualifications

• Five years minimum experience in plant electrical/instrumentation maintenance.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods.
• Available 24 hours per day on call for questions or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Identify instrumentation/controls requirements by working with management, engineering and production staff.
• Direct and supervise contractors on complex tasks beyond a one-man job.
• Assist in training employees on maintenance of instruments, analyzers and electrical equipment.
• Ensure equipment operates by prioritizing work and scheduling repairs and installations.
• Review product plans and coordinate with other crafts for equipment needs.
• Support and maintain electronic, mechanical and pneumatic instrumentation of various types.
• Troubleshoot analyzers; calibrate pressure, level, flow and temperature transmitters.
• Perform DCS/PLC maintenance and troubleshooting; respond to power outages.
• Run conduit and tubing as needed.
