Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an I&E Technician to maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and electrical systems on offshore wells and related equipment.

Responsibilities include installation, inspection, diagnosis, and coordination of well maintenance, outages, and automation support. The role requires reading schematics and P&ID diagrams and willingness to work offshore when needed.

Qualifications

• 0 - 1 year Instrumentation and Electrical experience preferred.
• OSHA 1910.269 up to 600V qualification preferred.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and wear PPE including respirator.
• Willing to work offshore when required.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on field instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose problems and implement corrective action.
• Coordinate well maintenance activities for new installs/upgrades and outages.
• Read loop drawings, schematics, ladder logic, one-line diagrams and P&ID drawings.
• Provide automation support during outages and offshore operations.
