Job summary

MPC in Carlsbad, New Mexico is seeking an I&E Technician for a 14/14 rotation to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain midstream instrumentation and electrical systems across natural gas plants, pipelines and compressor stations.

You will work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends and holidays, utilize CMMS for preventive maintenance, and document all activities while prioritizing safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be able to pass drug test and background check.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides I & E support for assets such as natural gas processing plants, pipelines, compressor stations.
• Installs, inspects, troubleshoots, maintains, repairs and calibrates instrumentation (flow meters, transmitters, sensors, analyzers, data loggers, PLCs, DCS).
• Installs, inspects, troubleshoots, maintains and repairs electrical equipment (MCCs, generators, transformers, switches, relays, wiring, VFDs, PDCs, UPS).
• Configures and programs industrial control systems; performs loops checks and point-to-point verification.
• Maintains complete, accurate and regulatory-compliant documentation.
