Job summary

Intrepid-Potash in New Mexico is seeking a Surface - Instrumentation & Electrical (I & E) Technician to install, calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot process instrumentation at surface operations. The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail and problem solving in a high-demand environment.

Responsibilities include maintenance work orders, wiring and drive/control systems, PLC/DCS support, pre-shift inspections and project checkouts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficient in reading instructions, blueprints and manuals.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word/Outlook).
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to work call-outs in a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day maintenance work orders for surface facility operations.
• Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical components and systems including drive and control systems, conduit wiring, pneumatic and electronic instrumentation, and motors.
• Assist with maintaining PLC/DCS hardware and install switches.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and preventative maintenance; report safety hazards.
• Execute analysis, documentation, installations, checkouts, debugging and cost control of projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
