The Position:
The I&E Technician role involves performing predictive, preventive, and repair maintenance activities to support safe, compliant, and reliable plant operations. These activities can be planned or unplanned. The technician may also direct contracted maintenance service providers as the owner’s representative or field contract coordinator.

What you will do:

• Commit to learning and practicing INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioral Safety, and follow INEOS Life Saving Rules daily.
• Maintain adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations and actively participate in safety performance improvements.
• Support site profitability, regulatory compliance, and product quality through maintenance activities and asset improvement initiatives.
• Promote safety and asset reliability improvements by revising equipment, job plans, and procedures, and collaborating with operations to resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot asset performance issues, propose and lead reliability improvements, and optimize costs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in a computerized system and report findings appropriately.
• Develop proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office, SAP (CMMS), and other business applications.

What you will bring:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; relevant experience may substitute.
• Minimum 5 years experience in process instrumentation and/or electrical trades in chemical or petrochemical plants, or a 2-year technical degree with relevant experience.
• Certifications from trade schools or professional organizations preferred, including NCCER or Texas Electrician Journeyman’s license.

Technical Skills:

• Maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting of field instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Ability to interpret drawings, diagrams, and troubleshoot PLC and DCS logic.
• Work safely on AC and DC electrical systems, repair motor control circuits, operate powered equipment, and support plant operations to minimize impacts and enhance reliability.

Physical demands include working at heights, in confined spaces, lifting up to 25 lbs., and outdoor seasonal conditions.
