POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Instrument and Electrical Technician I will be part of the I&E Team and the broader IT field support group. This role involves collaborating with IT teams such as SCADA and Internal Measurement, as well as Field Operations and Engineering teams. The technician will support the design, installation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of oil and gas processing equipment at field sites.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates or technical degree in instrumentation, automation, or process controls preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Oil and gas industry experience preferred; strong analytical and problem-solving skills essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and related software required.
• Effective communication skills with management, engineering, and operations staff.
• Ability to work in teams, follow supervisor guidance, prioritize tasks, and focus on details.
• Capability to multitask and meet critical deadlines.
• Ability to work safely in challenging environments including high temperatures, noise, and dust.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Physical ability to walk, climb stairs/ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and navigate uneven surfaces.
• Availability for emergency and on-call support.
• Basic knowledge of instruments, communication protocols (Hart, Modbus), configuration software, and test devices.
• Understanding of wireless networks and related hardware (e.g., radios, modems, switches).
• Ability to troubleshoot RTU and PLC programs (e.g., Fisher ROC, ABB, Allen Bradley).
• Experience with HMI programs (e.g., Beijer, Red Lion) and troubleshooting artificial lift equipment.
• Ability to work on electrical equipment from 12 VDC to 600 VAC.
• Basic knowledge of SCADA platforms, preferably Cygnet.
