Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks an I&E Planner to develop and maintain detailed job plans for instrumentation and electrical maintenance. You will ensure the right scope, labor, tools, materials, and permits are identified and prepared to support reliable plant operations.

Responsibilities include creating CMMS work orders, coordinating with procurement, and scheduling work to minimize downtime. Strong SAP experience and safety-conscious planning are essential.

Qualifications

• Education/experience as stated: HS diploma or GED; technical certification preferred.
• 5+ years I&E maintenance in an industrial/energy setting with 1–2 years in planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate job plans for I&E maintenance activities.
• Identify labor, tools, materials, permits, and safety requirements for each job.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering to prioritize work based on production needs.
• Create and manage work orders in CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Infor) and track progress.
• Order and reserve parts in coordination with procurement and stores.
• Schedule jobs with operations to minimize downtime and conflicts.
• Participate in RCA and reliability initiatives for recurring I&E issues.
• Ensure planned work complies with electrical codes and ISA standards.
• Support turnaround, outage or capital project planning for I&E scope as needed.

I&E systems knowledge (PLCs, DCS, VFDs

Reading P&IDs, wiring diagrams

CMMS & Microsoft Office proficiency

Organizational, analytical, and comms

Safety and permitting familiarity

Education
