Eastman Chemical Company is seeking an I&E Mechanic for its Baton Rouge area operations. The role emphasizes hands-on support to resolve instrumentation and electrical problems in a chemical plant environment, with duties ranging from maintenance to turnarounds.

Required background includes control instrumentation, valves, transmitters, and DCS systems; safety leadership and blueprints literacy are essential for daily tasks and compliance. Joint responsibilities include PMs and MOC entries.

Formación

• Experience in chemical, petrochemical or related manufacturing environments.
• Strong background in control and instrumentation including valves and transmitters.
• Familiarity with electrical distribution, motor control and NEC for hazardous locations.
• Ability to read blueprints and enter MOCs; complete safety training requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant instrumentation and equipment (valves, transmitters, controllers, DCS).
• Understand permit procedures and participate in turnarounds and PM programs.
• Assist in reviewing and implementing management of change (MOCs).
• Support safety initiatives and keep plant KPIs updated.
