Job summary

Delta Constructors is seeking an I&E Maintenance Technician for full-time work in Tioga, North Dakota. You will install, test, calibrate, inspect and repair control systems equipment, reading schematics and BOMs to guide wiring and assembly.

The role requires 3 years in electrical instrumentation, a valid driver’s license, OSHA 10, and ND certification eligibility. Schedule is 5 days per week, 12 hours per day.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
• Three years of experience in electrical instrumentation field.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record as location requires.
• Current OSHA 10 or ability to obtain upon hire.
• North Dakota location requires ND Electrical Apprentice Certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets electrical schematics and BOM drawings, engineering prints/specifications, and/or verbal/written instructions.
• Lay out, machining, populating and wiring of electrical control enclosures.
• Assembles mechanical and/or pneumatic components as required.
• Performs inspection and repairs on control systems.
• Performs preventive maintenance on process instrumentation.
• Troubleshoots to diagnose and correct instrumentation problems in the field.
• Calibrates instruments using proper test equipment.
• Maintains environment with component replacements, alignments, and calibration to specs.
• Repairs signal transmission facilities such as tubing and wiring.
• Installs new control circuits and modifies existing instrument/electrical systems as requested.
• Assist with electrical cable, cable tray and equipment installation.
• Attends training sessions and educational classes required by department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Brief Description

The I&E Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, calibration, inspection, and repair of control systems equipment. The incumbent inspects meters, indicators, and gauges to detect abnormal fluctuations. TheI&E Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance on equipment as needed.

Essential Job Functions

Required Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or Equivalent Required, Associates Degree Preferred
• Three (3) year(s) experience in the electrical instrumentation field
• Current and valid driver’s license, with clean driving record required depending on location
• Current OSHA 10 or be able to obtain upon hire
• North Dakota locations only: Current or able to obtain a North Dakota Electrical Apprentice Certification
