Job summary

Hargrove is seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation CAD designer to join our team in LaPlace, LA. The role focuses on routine design of less complex assignments under close supervision, with responsibility for drafting electrical room layouts, motor control diagrams, cable schedules, and grounding plans.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of industrial drafting experience, knowledge of NEC, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Microstation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the NEC code and its application to design.
• Experience drafting electrical and instrumentation layouts.
• Familiarity with project specifications and design criteria.
• Ability to size wire, conduit, and MCC loading.
• Proficient in CAD drafting standards and documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Draft installation details, motor control center lines, and wiring diagrams.
• Develop electrical room layouts, control panel layouts, and grounding plans.
• Communicate scope and design changes promptly.
• Provide on-site assistance during startup.
• Utilize CAD drafting standards and project specifications.
