Job summary

Taylor Technical Services, Inc. seeks an I&E Design Lead in Katy, Texas. The role focuses on owning and delivering I&E design packages from concept through construction, mentoring a design team, and coordinating across disciplines in a fast-paced EPC environment.

The position sits in a Houston area office, Monday–Friday, with a focus on constructible, safe design solutions and QA/QC oversight. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in I&E design within EPC, industrial, or oil & gas/petrochemical projects.
• Demonstrated knowledge of I&E design deliverables, systems, and workflows.
• Experience with AutoCAD as a design tool.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of I&E design deliverables from early project phases through IFC and construction support.
• Own the overall I&E design scope, schedule, and deliverable quality for assigned projects.
• Develop and review key I&E deliverables including schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnects, loop drawings, and panel layouts.
• Coordinate I&E scope with piping, civil/structural, process and construction teams to resolve issues early and reduce rework.
• Perform and lead QA/QC reviews and provide technical guidance to designers and drafters.
• Review vendor documentation and integrate equipment package requirements into design deliverables.
• Identify risks and gaps and drive timely resolution.
