Job summary

Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas seeks a Behavioral Support Professional to provide direct clinical services in I/DD residential programs. You will assess, intervene, plan, and discharge with the DSP, ensuring consistency with plans and high-quality care.

Responsibilities include documenting per BSP guidelines, attending team meetings, and updating plans as persons’ needs change. CPR certification and TOVA training are required, with emphasis on respectful, agesensitive support.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred for the role.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an I/DD setting.
• 2+ years’ experience with SIS Level 4 autism/behavioral issues.

Responsibilities

• Provides behavioral and direct support services in line with standards and regulations.
• Plans and conducts supports per Person-Centered Plan.
• Documents per BSP guidelines and ensures DSP documentation too.
• Completes shift documentation and contributes to support plans.
• Attends team meetings and updates plans as needed or changed.
