Barnes Industries, Inc. in Madison Heights, MI, is seeking an I.D. & O.D.

Thread Grinder for a full-time, on-site, first-shift role. Pay is hourly and based on experience, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, plus paid holidays and vacation. Candidates must have at least 3 years in a machine shop, 2 years setting up and operating I.D./O.D.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a machine shop.
• At least 2 years setting up & operating I.D./O.D. grinders with steady rests.
• Ability to read and use .0001 micrometers, indicators, calipers, optical comparator.
• Manual machine experience required.
• Adherence to quality, safety and PPE policies.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Must pass pre-employment background, physical and drug tests.
• Have own tools: micrometers, calipers, dial indicators.

I.D. & O.D. THREAD GRINDER

The following experience/qualifications are required:

Minimum 3-years machine shop experience.

At least 2 years of set-up & operating I.D. & O.D. grinding machines with steady rests.

Must be able to read & use .0001 micrometers, indicators, calipers, optical comparator.

Must have manual machine experience.

Must comply with Company quality, safety, and personal protection equipment requirements.

Ability to work OT as required.

Must pass pre-employment background, physical and drug tests.

Have own tools, such as, Micrometers, Calipers and Dial indicators.
