Job summary

Luminant Generation Company LLC is seeking an experienced I&C Technician (Bargaining Unit) to operate and maintain a Natural Gas Power Plant and Battery Energy Storage System in Granbury, Texas. You will calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair critical transmitters, switches, probes, and instrumentation within the Emerson Ovation control system.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of I&C or electrical experience
• Technical calibration and maintenance of field instrumentation
• Familiarity with plant control systems (DCS, BESS, PLCs)
• Proficient with computer-based tools and data sheets
• Must be able to obtain POSS/MASS exam eligibility

Responsibilities

• Perform work with strict adherence to safety procedures and best practices
• Develop and present safety topics regularly
• Learn to use HPI tools and participate in pre/post job briefs
• Maintenance on plant instrumentation and control systems including weekends and holidays
• Troubleshoot and maintain plant control systems and communication networks
• Cover unit start-up/shut-down activities and control operator shifts
• Enter work requests and service requests into MAXIMO
• Assist in design/implementation of O&M and capital projects
• Communicate equipment issues to supervision promptly
• Maintain good relationships with team and vendors
