Job summary

Luminant Generation Company LLC in Monahans, Texas, seeks an I&C/Electrical Technician to safely operate, monitor, troubleshoot and maintain a gas turbine powered facility, with a focus on reliability and regulatory compliance.

Requirements include 4–6 years in power generation maintenance, knowledge of AC/DC theory, electrical/electronic controls, and experience with motors, generators, transformers, and PLCs; willing to work overtime and in harsh conditions.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of maintenance experience in power generation facilities.
• High school diploma or GED; trade/technical training preferred.
• Knowledge of Safety and Environmental rules as they relate to power generation.
• Familiarity with Maximo is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and resolution of system issues.
• Inspect, repair, install and remove motors, generators, transformers, switches and related equipment up to 4160 volts.
• Maintain and calibrate instrumentation to provide reliable data for operations.
• Document maintenance history and support compliance with CEMS requirements.
• Work outdoors in adverse conditions and follow safety policies; wear PPE.
