Job summary

NextEra Energy Duane Arnold, LLC in Palo, Iowa is seeking an Instrument & Control Technician to install, calibrate, maintain and repair controls, instruments and related systems within the plant and substation.

The role requires hands-on work with electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components, strong safety awareness, and teamwork with outage crews. This is a full-time position offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of related experience in one or more crafts.
• Must pass MASS Aptitude Exam.

Responsibilities

• Installs, alters, inspects, calibrates, maintains and repairs controls and instruments.
• Repairs, replaces or modifies instrument lines downstream of an instrument rack and lines to I&C equipment.
• Prepares and analyzes test and equipment performance reports and maintains records.
• May rotate with multidisciplinary teams such as Fix It Now or Outage Teams.
• Operates hand tools and equipment to fabricate minor repair parts.
• Adheres to reports, quality control, maintenance procedures, documentation and NRC requirements.
• Performs personal health physical coverage.
• Performs peer inspections.
• May be assigned to fire brigade as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
