Job summary

Luminant Generation Company LLC in Odessa, TX seeks a Plant Operator to support safe, reliable operation of gas plant equipment. You will operate equipment within specs, learn maintenance processes, and perform tasks under guidance from senior technicians.

Role emphasizes safety, environmental compliance and basic network/system familiarity. Candidates should have at least 2 years of related experience and complete POSS/MASS program assessments.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of related experience.
• Must be a successful candidate on POSS/MASS program per company policy.
• Completion of Tier 1 job performance measures (Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument and Controls).
• Demonstrate basic computer skills and effective communication.
• PT1-E requirement may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting and preventive/corrective maintenance of plant equipment.
• Perform daily maintenance, overhauls, replacements and installations as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of plant equipment and safety procedures.
• Read and interpret network diagrams; work under supervision of senior operators.
• Follow safety, environmental and LOTO/JSA/Confined Space protocols.
• Understand core networking concepts and industrial protocols (MODBUS TCP, DNP3, OPC).
• Support integration of SCADA, DCS and PLC systems.
