Job summary

Luminant Generation Company LLC in Granbury, Texas seeks a Plant Supervisor to support operations and maintenance at our power generating stations. The role may require travel between stations to support operations.

You will supervise multi-skill teams, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and coordinate projects. Proficiency with Maximo and scheduling tools is essential, as is strong problem solving and communication.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of power generation plant experience.
• Experience using Maximo for planning work and creating job plans.
• Familiar with WST as the preferred scheduling tool.
• Experience with PMMS and Maximo programs.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of a generating station.
• Supervise multi-skill production and maintenance personnel to ensure safe operation.
• Manage employee/labor relations per company policies.
• Ensure safety, environmental, regulatory, and procedural compliance.
• Coordinate and implement special projects and respond to emergencies.

Job Summary

The Plant Supervisor is responsible for supporting the operation and maintenance of Luminant Power Generating Stations. The position may require some travel in the support of other Luminant Power Generating Stations.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

• Supporting all aspects of the day–to-day operation and maintenance of a generating station
• Accountability can include supervising and directing multi-skill production and maintenance support personnel to achieve maximum reliable and safe operation of the generating units
• Effectively manage employee/labor relation in accordance with company policies and labor agreements where applicable
• Ensure and monitor safety and environmental compliance, regulatory compliance, administrative and procedural compliance, and documentation
• Assist in the coordination and implementation of special projects
• Supervisor may be asked to respond to emergency call out situations and assist in trouble shooting of system problems
• Interface frequently with outside vendors and contractors
• Planning and Scheduling for plant site

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• 5-7 years of power generation plant experience
• Candidate must be experienced in using Maximo for planning work, creating purchase requests, and creating job plans
• Candidate must be experienced in WST, the preferred scheduling tool used by Luminant

Preferred Experience

• Experience with operations and maintenance at a power plant particularly control operator experience on a unit with a drum boiler
• Technical background or Instrumentation and Control background is a plus
• Power generation plant supervision, leadership, communication, problem solving and decision making skills
• Good computer skills using Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience in computer maintenance management systems and an understanding of PMMS and/or Maximo programs
