The Plant Supervisor at Luminant Generation Company LLC oversees operation and maintenance of power generating stations in Granbury, Texas. The role may require travel to support other stations and to coordinate with contractors.

You will supervise multi-skill production and maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable unit performance and drive continuous improvement in plant operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years of power generation plant experience.
• Experience using Maximo for planning work and job plans.
• Experience with WST scheduling tool.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsabilités

• Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of a generating station.
• Supervise and direct multi-skill production and maintenance staff to ensure reliable and safe operation of units.
• Manage employee/labor relations per company policies and labor agreements.
• Ensure safety, environmental and regulatory compliance and proper documentation.
• Assist in coordinating and implementing special projects.
• Respond to emergency callouts and troubleshoot system problems as needed.
• Interface with outside vendors and contractors.
• Plan and schedule for the plant site.

Job Summary

The Plant Supervisor is responsible for supporting the operation and maintenance of Luminant Power Generating Stations. The position may require some travel in the support of other Luminant Power Generating Stations.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

• Supporting all aspects of the day–to-day operation and maintenance of a generating station
• Accountability can include supervising and directing multi-skill production and maintenance support personnel to achieve maximum reliable and safe operation of the generating units
• Effectively manage employee/labor relation in accordance with company policies and labor agreements where applicable
• Ensure and monitor safety and environmental compliance, regulatory compliance, administrative and procedural compliance, and documentation
• Assist in the coordination and implementation of special projects
• Supervisor may be asked to respond to emergency call out situations and assist in trouble shooting of system problems
• Interface frequently with outside vendors and contractors
• Planning and Scheduling for plant site

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• 5-7 years of power generation plant experience
• Candidate must be experienced in using Maximo for planning work, creating purchase requests, and creating job plans
• Candidate must be experienced in WST, the preferred scheduling tool used by Luminant
• Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with operations and maintenance at a power plant particularly control operator experience on a unit with a drum boiler
  • Technical background or Instrumentation and Control background is a plus
  • Power generation plant supervision, leadership, communication, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Good computer skills using Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience in computer maintenance management systems and an understanding of PMMS and/or Maximo programs
