Job summary

MPR Associates, Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer - Network Communications to provide technical leadership across U.S. and international clients. This is a full‑time, exempt role based out of VA or CT offices, with travel as needed.

You will design, configure, and implement networked control systems for power, healthcare, and industrial applications, ensuring cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and robust communications across devices and networks.

Qualifications

• 4-year technical degree is required.
• Advanced degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of I&C experience in project/systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead control system design, programming, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of ICS with networked architectures.
• Design and maintain robust industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC UA) for reliability and security.
• Support regulatory and cybersecurity requirements (NERC CIP, ISA/IEC 62443) for networked controls.
• Develop engineering deliverables: network diagrams, system architectures, cybersecurity risk assessments.
