Job summary

Urenco USA invites students to join its 2027 Internship Program for 11 weeks in Eunice, NM, working on instrumentation and controls projects under experienced mentors. The I&C Maintenance Intern will gain hands-on experience, participate in planning and maintenance activities, and contribute to reliability initiatives.

The internship runs May–August 2027 with a 40-hour work week and housing/utilities provided.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain site access authorization and security clearances.
Able to work ALL 11 weeks May–August and 40 hours/week.

Responsibilities

Support I&C maintenance personnel in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
Assist in troubleshooting plant equipment and control systems.
Participate in maintenance planning, work package development, and documentation reviews.
Assist with equipment inspections, testing, calibration, and condition monitoring.
Review electrical drawings, schematics, and maintenance procedures.
Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for reliability improvements.
Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
Support plant modifications and project activities as assigned.
Participate in safety meetings and training activities.
Learn nuclear safety, environmental, QA, and regulatory requirements.
