Job summary

Urenco USA invites engineering students to join an 11-week paid internship in Eunice, NM, May through August 2027, working with mentors in Design Authority Engineering on real projects supporting our enrichment and Net Zero initiatives.

Candidates must be enrolled full-time in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, have at least two years of college completed, and be able to work all 11 weeks with a Monday–Friday 9/80 schedule. Housing is sponsored.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a 4 year degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• 2 years of college courses completed.
• Able to work ALL 11 weeks (May through August) of the internship program.
• Work Schedule: M-F 9/80 work schedule.
• Security Clearance: CAA Access.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Apply basic engineering principles with core concepts across multiple disciplines.
• Plan design reviews and complete small design tasks.
• Collect, interpret, and present engineering data effectively.
• Think creatively to improve processes or develop new approaches.
• Diagnose design issues and propose viable solutions.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
