Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking an I&C Electrical Engineer for a contract role supporting the station’s Unit Auxiliary Transformer Replacement Projects. You will work with station partners, project leads, and project managers to evaluate plant design changes and prepare the I&C portions of engineering change packages.

The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience and the ability to pass nuclear background checks. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Nuclear background and fitness for duty required.

Responsibilities

• Review manufacturing design drawings.
• Determine required I/O signals and topology with concordance from Operations, System Engineering, and Electrical Responsible Engineer.
• Determine and communicate required device configurations and topology to the manufacturer.
• Facilitation of annunciation device and ICS alarm configurations with Operations and System Engineer input.
• Develop trip logic diagram modifications with Operations, System Engineer, and Electrical Responsible Engineer concurrence.
• Prepare EC development and Document Change Notice amendments.

About the role:

I&C Engineer contract role supporting the station’s Units 1 & 2 Unit Auxiliary Transformer Replacement Projects.

You will work with a team of station partners, project leads, and project managers to evaluate modifications to the plant design. You will work with a team of partners, the Responsible Engineer (RE), and Responsible Supervisor, as a design team member performing a design activity to prepare the I&C portion of the engineering change packages to replace unit auxiliary transformers and associated monitoring and protection equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review of manufacturing design drawings,
• Determination of required I/O signals, associated topology, and configuration (with concurrence from Operations, System Engineering, and Electrical Responsible Engineer),
• Determination and communication of required device configurations and associated topology to the manufacturer,
• Facilitation of the development of annunciation device and Integrated Computer System (ICS) alarm configurations (with concurrence from Operations and System Engineer),
• Development of trip logic diagram modifications (with concurrence from Operations, System Engineer, and Electrical Responsible Engineer),
• EC development and Document Change Notice (amendment) preparation.
