Job summary

Cindavi in Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead an integrated I&C and electrical team tasked with powering, controlling, and monitoring advanced fusion systems. The role centers on building common technology platforms, mentoring a skilled group, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

You will guide design, development, testing, and deployment of DCS, PAC/PLC, and DAQ systems, collaborating across sites to establish standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; electrical or computer engineering preferred.
• 7–10+ years of engineering experience with proven management track record.
• Strong electrical engineering skills in power distribution and I&C, plus PLC basics.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational synergy.
• Experience in automation for medical instruments, radiopharma, or nuclear industries preferred.
• Experience with PLC programming and embedded C preferred.
• Experience in machine design and building automation facilities preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, and lead a team of I&C and electrical engineers focused on control systems, instruments, and power supply design.
• Mentor engineers in technology, decision making, and ownership of the I&C equipment they are responsible for.
• Lead the integration of the software and electrical engineering teams to function cohesively and produce unified outputs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional managers and counterparts at other sites to establish common technology standards and platforms for controls.
• Oversee the development of digital and analog control systems, including DCS, PAC/PLC, and DAQ systems.
• Participate actively in design reviews, design releases, and prioritize troubleshooting efforts.
• Ensure proper release of documentation and work closely with the build and test teams to support equipment installation and commissioning.
