Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Designer to support industrial projects from concept through IFC. You will produce high‑quality I&C design deliverables and collaborate with engineers and project stakeholders to ensure accuracy, schedule adherence, and successful execution.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Instrumentation & Controls Designer in industrial environments.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Experience reviewing and coordinating vendor design packages.
• Solid understanding of P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, termination drawings, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain instrumentation and controls design deliverables from concept through IFC.
• Create and update P&IDs, instrument loop drawings, termination details, wiring and interconnect diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Perform detailed reviews of vendor packages to ensure compliance with project requirements and design standards.
• Coordinate daily with I&E Engineers, Lead Designers, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve design interfaces and technical issues.
• Support design reviews, address comments, and drive closure of review items in a timely manner.
• Ensure drawings and documentation meet company, client, and industry standards for quality and accuracy.
• Assist with field support activities, design changes, and as-built documentation as required.
• Participate in project planning efforts to maintain design schedules and deliverables.
